How accessible is the farm?

We are a farm and nothing is paved. Our driveway is 1/2 mile long and is gravel so it can oftentimes be a little bumpy. The parking area is hard-packed grass making it an easy and beautiful walk to the wedding tree located behind the home. There is a short, but beautiful, walk to get to from the parking to the ceremony site. If there are handicap guests we are more than happy to shuttle them to the ceremony site with our farm cart by our venue staff, we ask that this be made known to us prior to the event with names of who needs assistance. The Rustic Lounge does not have a ramp but the outdoor area is flat and easy to get around. Bathrooms are rustic and there is one small step up to the restroom area.

Cancelations

All weddings and events require a nonrefundable deposit. Any payment or installments made are nonrefundable. If your wedding is canceled within 8 months of the contracted date, any remaining payments are excused.

How long can we be on property?

If booking a wedding without accommodations, your rental is 10 hours long. 4 hours of setup and getting ready in the suites, 1 hour for the ceremony, 1 hour for cocktail hour, and 4 hours for the reception. Bar service is for 3.5 hours and the bridal party is allowed on the property starting at noon. All other guests aside from immediate family and bridal party are asked not to arrive until 45 minutes before the ceremony starts.

Do we need a planner or coordinator?

Our venue provides a coordinator that coordinates all details that are booked through Morgan Farms. Such as floral, decor, layout, and timeline. We are not responsible for your photographer, videographer, officiant, or DJ/Band. You are most welcome to hire a full wedding planner and we have a wonderful list to choose from. If not, we have a planning package to book so we can take care of the day for you! If you do not have or want a planner, there must be one person that you designate as your point of contact for all the items you will be responsible for and that point of contact will need to sign a personal coordinator contract with us.

Can we bring outside vendors?

The only outside vendors that we allow are planners (must be approved), Catering from our list or approval is needed, DJ, Band, Photographer, Video, Florist. Morgan Farms is responsible for bar and catering and can offer floral and coordinating.

When is final payment due?

15% of the total invoice is due at booking of all packages and then there will be 3 installments paid on set dates leading up to the wedding date. The last installment is due no later than 2 weeks before the wedding date. If only a booking venue and no other packages, a $1,000 deposit is required and the remainder venue payment is due 60 days before the wedding date.

Can we bring our dog?

Subject to approval but we love dogs and know that sometimes it is not the same without your fur baby present. We are a working farm with live farm animals so we ask that this be subject to approval.

Are there bathrooms?

We do have bathrooms on site. We have a three-stall rustic bathroom facility located behind The Rustic Lounge.

I see you have a sister venue- what is that?

Located just 3 miles from Morgan Farms in the heart of Downtown Oxford sits the historic Orpheum Theater. Just recently undergone a two-year major renovation, this theater has been renovated with its original art deco charm brought back to life and is now a wedding and event venue. Perfect for your rehearsal dinner or indoor reception if you would like to have just your ceremony at Morgan Farms and indoor reception at The Orpheum. Different package rates apply for joint use of both venues. Please inquire for availability and pricing

What is your capacity?

Our capacity is 175. Guest counts over 65 will be required to have a tent on site adjacent to The Rustic Lounge in case of inclement weather. The Rustic Lounge will serve as the backup plan for rain for guests of 65 and under. Tent rental is included with your price of guest counts over 65.

When is last call?

We ask that all bar service end by 10:30 and reception and wedding are over by 11:00 with all guests and vendors offsite by midnight. Additional late-night hours may be purchased subject to approval.

Can we pick up items the next morning?

If any items are left on site, they must be boxed up and ready for pick up by 10:00 the following morning. A time arrangement must be made with management for items to be picked up.
